About the Moon Phase Canvas
Canvas suits the moon. The matte weave softens the light on the lunar surface and there is no glazing to catch reflections, so the print reads clearly from anywhere in the room.
We calculate the moon for your date, time and place, print it on cotton-blend canvas, and stretch it by hand over a solid wood frame. The background continues around the sides, so it needs no frame at all.

Before You Order
Does the canvas need a frame?
No. It is stretched over a wood frame with the print wrapped around the sides, and the hanging hardware is fitted.
How accurate is the moon?
The phase and lit fraction are calculated for your moment, and the moon is turned to the angle it had from your place. The surface comes from NASA renders of one 2026 lunar cycle, so the slight monthly wobble (libration) is not specific to your date.
Will the text wrap around the edge?
No. The title, message, place, date and coordinates sit well inside the front face; only the background continues around the sides.
