The Night It Started, Exactly As It Looked
Give back the sky from your wedding night, your first date, or the evening one of you finally said something. Not a decorative pattern — the real arrangement of stars over that place, that night.

Why It Lands
What Makes This a Good Gift
One Specific Night
Not "your anniversary" in general — the sky over one place, at one hour, on one date you both remember.
Any Date, Any Year
We can calculate any night from the last several centuries. A fiftieth anniversary is no harder than a first.
Genuinely Accurate
Real astronomical positions, not a decorative star pattern. Check it against Stellarium if you like.
Ready To Give
Framed, glazed and hookable, so it can go straight on the wall on the day rather than into a drawer.
The Thinking
A Star Map for Anniversaries
An anniversary gift has a harder job than most. It has to say "I remember" without needing a card to explain itself, and it has to survive being looked at every day for years without becoming furniture. A star map does both, because the thing on the wall is not a picture of the night — it is the night, plotted from the same astronomical data an observatory would use.
What makes it land is specificity. Anyone can buy flowers on the date. Far fewer can hand over the sky as it stood at 11pm over the restaurant on the corner, with the message underneath naming why that hour mattered. The astronomy does the work; you only have to remember the evening.
It suits long marriages and first anniversaries equally, which is unusual for a gift. A fiftieth gets a sky nobody alive has seen since; a first gets a night both of you still remember in detail. The object is the same. What changes is how long it has been waiting to be printed.

Choosing a Date
Which Night Do You Put On It?
This is the part that stalls people. Any of these work, and none of them needs to be exact to the minute.
The wedding night
The most common choice, and the one that needs no explaining to anyone who sees it. Use the ceremony time and the venue — that is the sky your guests stood under.
The first date
Often the better story. It is the night before either of you knew, which makes it quietly funnier and more personal than the wedding.
The proposal
Especially strong when the location was unusual. A cliff, a kitchen, an airport — the coordinates printed underneath do a lot of the work.
The night you moved in
An underrated one. For couples who never made a ceremony of it, this is often the date that actually changed everything.
It turned out beautiful. It was an anniversary gift for my boyfriend and he cried like a baby. We both absolutely love it.
Questions
Before You Order
What if I do not know the exact time?
Pick the closest hour you can remember and it will be right. The sky rotates roughly fifteen degrees an hour, so being an hour out shifts the view slightly but keeps every constellation in place. Evening is a safe default if you are guessing.
Is a star map a good first anniversary gift?
It fits the traditional paper first anniversary unusually well, since a print on fine-art paper is literally paper. Our guide to paper anniversary gifts covers the tradition and what else fits it.
Can I put our names and a message on it?
Yes. Every map carries a title line, a short message, and the place, date and coordinates underneath. Most people use the message for the reason the night mattered rather than for names alone.
How long does it take to arrive?
Printing is done after you order and shipping depends on where you are — most orders arrive within a week or two. If the date is close, the digital download is delivered within minutes and can be printed locally.

One Sky, Several Ways to Keep It
The map is the same whichever you pick. What changes is the object it becomes on the wall.
